Settlement between Qamar Sultan, wife of Muhammad Hasan ‘Alaqah-band [the silk maker] from Shiraz, and Mashhadi Haji Muhammad ‘Alaqah-band from Shiraz, son of Haji Muhammad Karim (Qamar Sultan's father), over Qamar Sultan's mahr, including a Qurʼan worth one tuman, fifty tumans, seven misqals [unit of weight] of gold, one charik [unit of weight] raw green silk, one-third of a house located in Sarbagh neighborhood of Shiraz, for fifty tumans, one man [unit of weight] of Russian hard white sugar, and two thousand tumans as the cost of detriments. Marriage contract of Saltanat Khanum (known as Mukhbar al-Saltanah), daughter of Davud Mirza, and Shahzadah [prince] ‘Abbas Mirza, son of Haj Muhammad Mahdi Mirza, on March 15, 1910; the mahr includes a Qurʼan worth twenty-five tumans, one-twelfth of [illegible] ‘Abbas Abad village, five hundred tumans, a female Abyssinian slave worth one hundred and fifty tumans, and five mans [unit of weight] of silk. Will of Shaykh Zayn al-ʻAbidin, 1896
The will of Shaykh Zayn al-ʻAbidin, the Prayer Imam, assigning his underage son, Shaykh Mahmud, as the executor of his will. Since Shaykh Mahmud is underage, his nephews, Shaykh Husayn and Mirza Baqir, should intervene in the affairs until he grows up. The will includes Shaykh Zayn al-ʻAbidin's debts, and the designation of one-third of his properties to pay to someone to fast and pray on his behalf and on behalf of some of his family members.
